> dijitul support fixes the technical SEO problems that stop UK websites being found: pages not indexed, a noindex tag left on after launch, broken redirects after a redesign, Search Console errors, duplicate content and slow Core Web Vitals. Fixes are £45 an hour + VAT, or use the hour included in our Business plan at £50 a month + VAT.

## Common symptoms

- Your site disappeared from Google after a redesign
- Search Console says 'Crawled, currently not indexed' or 'Excluded by noindex tag'
- Old links from other sites now lead to 404 pages
- Google shows the wrong page title or an old phone number
- Your site is slow on mobile and fails Core Web Vitals
- You do not have access to Google Search Console

## Key facts

- We fix technical problems; full SEO campaigns are handled by our sister agency
- Google Search Console shows why pages are not indexed
- A leftover noindex tag or 'Discourage search engines' tick can remove a whole site from Google
- Redesigns without 301 redirects lose rankings for old URLs
- Interaction to Next Paint (INP) replaced First Input Delay as a Core Web Vital in March 2024
- Fixes: £45 an hour + VAT; Business plan with 1 hour of changes: £50 a month + VAT

## Technical SEO, not a marketing campaign

SEO has two halves. One is marketing: keyword research, content, links and long-term strategy. The other is technical: making sure Google can actually crawl, index and understand your site. If the technical half is broken, no amount of content will help.

dijitul support does the technical half: we find and fix what is stopping your site being indexed or ranking properly. If you want an ongoing campaign to grow traffic, our sister agency [Search Engine Tuning](https://searchenginetuning.co.uk/) runs full SEO campaigns.

## The problems we fix most

- **Noindex left on:** developers often block search engines on a staging site, then forget to remove it at launch. In WordPress it is a single tick box under Settings, Reading: "Discourage search engines from indexing this site".
- **robots.txt blocking:** a Disallow rule blocking the whole site or your CSS and JavaScript files.
- **Missing redirects:** after a redesign or platform move, old URLs return 404 instead of 301-redirecting to the new pages, losing the rankings they had built.
- **Canonical tags pointing at the wrong place**, such as every page canonicalised to the homepage, or to the old domain.
- **Duplicate versions of the site:** http and https, www and non-www all live without redirects.
- **XML sitemap problems:** missing, listing 404s, or not submitted in Search Console.
- **Hacked spam pages:** Japanese keyword hacks and pharma spam that Google indexes under your domain. See [hacked website repair](https://dijitulsupport.co.uk/hacked-website-repair/).

## Using Search Console properly

Google Search Console is free and tells you exactly how Google sees your site. We set it up, verified with a DNS record so it covers every version of your domain, and work through the Page indexing report:

- **Excluded by noindex tag:** check whether those pages should be indexed.
- **Not found (404):** add redirects for any that used to matter.
- **Crawled, currently not indexed:** usually thin or duplicate content; we flag which pages need improving or merging.
- **Duplicate without user-selected canonical:** fix canonical tags and internal links.

We also check the Core Web Vitals report and any manual actions or security issues.

## Speed, mobile and structured data

Google measures real-world page experience with Core Web Vitals: Largest Contentful Paint for loading, Interaction to Next Paint for responsiveness (which replaced First Input Delay in March 2024), and Cumulative Layout Shift for visual stability. Slow hosting, huge images, too many plugins and render-blocking scripts are the usual causes. See [website speed optimisation](https://dijitulsupport.co.uk/website-speed-optimisation/) and [Core Web Vitals fixes](https://dijitulsupport.co.uk/core-web-vitals-fixes/).

We can also add structured data such as LocalBusiness and FAQ schema, and check titles and meta descriptions are unique and accurate, so Google shows the right information in results.

## Redesigns and migrations

The most expensive SEO mistakes happen during a website rebuild. Before launch, we crawl the old site and build a redirect map from every old URL to its closest new equivalent. After launch, we test the redirects, submit the new sitemap and watch Search Console for errors over the following weeks.

Changing domain name as well? Search Console's Change of Address tool tells Google about the move, but only after site-wide 301 redirects are in place. Keep the old domain registered and redirecting for at least a year, and update your Google Business Profile, social profiles and email signatures so the old address fades out cleanly. If your rankings have already dropped after a redesign, we can often recover old URLs from the Wayback Machine or analytics and add the missing redirects.

## Pricing

Technical SEO fixes are charged at £45 an hour + VAT, with a 30 minute minimum. A Search Console setup and indexing review for a small business site typically takes one to two hours. If your site needs ongoing care, the [Business plan](https://dijitulsupport.co.uk/pricing/) at £50 a month + VAT includes software updates, daily backups, monitoring and 1 hour of fixes or changes each month.

## FAQs

### Why is my website not showing on Google?

Common causes are a noindex tag or WordPress's 'Discourage search engines' setting left on, robots.txt blocking the site, the site being very new, or a hack adding spam. dijitul checks Google Search Console's Page indexing report, finds the cause and fixes it, usually within an hour or two.

### Do you run SEO campaigns?

dijitul support fixes technical SEO problems such as indexing, redirects, canonicals, sitemaps and speed. For ongoing SEO campaigns covering keyword research, content and links, our sister agency Search Engine Tuning handles that work. Many businesses use both: technical fixes first, then a campaign.

### We lost rankings after a new website. Can you help?

Often, yes. The usual cause is missing 301 redirects from old URLs to new ones. dijitul finds the old URLs from Search Console, analytics or the Wayback Machine, maps them to the new pages and adds redirects. Rankings typically recover over the following weeks once Google recrawls.

### What is Google Search Console and do I need it?

Google Search Console is a free tool showing how Google crawls and indexes your site, which searches you appear for, and any errors or security issues. Every business website should have it. dijitul sets it up using DNS verification so it covers all versions of your domain.

### How much does technical SEO support cost?

dijitul charges £45 an hour + VAT for technical SEO fixes. A Search Console setup and indexing review usually takes one to two hours. The Business plan at £50 a month + VAT includes 1 hour of fixes or changes each month, plus updates, backups and monitoring.
