> dijitul support fixes the technical side of social media for UK businesses: recovering hacked Facebook and Instagram accounts, regaining page access from ex-staff, setting up Meta Business Suite and LinkedIn pages properly, adding two-factor authentication, and connecting social accounts to your website and shop. Work is charged at £45 an hour + VAT.

## Common symptoms

- Your Facebook page has been taken over and is posting scams
- The only admin on the page has left the business
- Instagram says your account has been disabled or suspended
- Messages to your page are not reaching anyone
- Your shop catalogue or Meta Pixel has stopped syncing
- You are getting fake 'Meta Support' messages saying your page will be deleted

## Key facts

- Business pages should be owned by a business portfolio in Meta Business Suite, not by one person's profile
- At least two trusted admins prevents lockouts when someone leaves
- Two-factor authentication on every admin account is the best defence against page takeovers
- Meta's hacked account recovery starts at facebook.com/hacked and instagram.com/hacked
- We fix access, security and technical connections, not day-to-day posting
- Work: £45 an hour + VAT, done remotely

## Access and ownership problems

The most common social media call we get is not about content. It is "we cannot get into our own page". A Facebook page was created years ago by a staff member, on their personal profile, and they have since left. Or the only admin lost their phone and with it the two-factor codes.

We sort out access properly: the page is moved into a business portfolio in Meta Business Suite that your business owns, at least two trusted people are given full control, and agencies or freelancers are added as partners with limited access rather than as admins. The same principle applies to LinkedIn company pages, YouTube channels and TikTok business accounts.

## Hacked Facebook and Instagram accounts

Account takeovers usually start with a phishing message pretending to be Meta, warning that your page breaks copyright rules and will be deleted unless you "appeal" through a link. That link steals your password and two-factor code. Within minutes the attacker adds themselves as an admin, removes you, and starts running ads on your card or posting scams.

If this has happened:

- Go to facebook.com/hacked or instagram.com/hacked from a device you have used before, and follow the recovery steps.
- Check the email address on the account for a message from Meta about a changed email; it often includes a link to reverse the change.
- Remove your card from Ads Manager if you can, and tell your bank if ads are being charged.
- Warn customers through other channels not to click links from your page.

We guide you through Meta's recovery process, including identity verification, and once you are back in we remove unknown admins, revoke sessions and switch on two-factor authentication with an authenticator app. See [phishing protection](https://dijitulsupport.co.uk/phishing-protection/) for why these messages are so convincing.

## Locking it down

- **Two-factor authentication** on every person with admin access, using an authenticator app or security key rather than SMS where possible.
- **Business email** as the login for business accounts, not a personal Gmail.
- **A password manager** for any shared logins, such as an Instagram account that several staff post from. See [password and MFA setup](https://dijitulsupport.co.uk/password-mfa-setup/).
- **Regular access reviews:** remove people who have left, and check which apps are connected.
- **Ignore "Meta Support" DMs.** Meta does not contact page owners through Messenger threatening deletion.

## LinkedIn, Google and other platforms

The same ownership problems happen elsewhere. LinkedIn company pages need at least one current employee as a super admin, so if the only admin has left, LinkedIn's page admin request process is the route back in. YouTube channels created on one person's Google account can be moved to a Brand Account so several people can manage them. X and TikTok business accounts should use a business email address, a password manager entry and an authenticator app, never a personal mobile number that leaves with the employee. We check each account you use and write down who owns what, so the next person to leave does not take your audience with them.

## Connecting social media to your website

We also fix the technical links between your social accounts and your website: installing the Meta Pixel and Conversions API so ad results are measured, connecting a WooCommerce or Shopify catalogue to Facebook and Instagram Shops, fixing Open Graph tags so links shared on Facebook and LinkedIn show the right image and title, and adding social links and feeds to your site without slowing it down. Tracking must respect your visitors' cookie choices; see [cookie consent compliance](https://dijitulsupport.co.uk/cookie-consent-compliance/).

## What we do not do, and pricing

We are not a social media marketing agency. We do not write daily posts, run influencer campaigns or manage community comments. We fix access, security and the technical connections, so whoever does your marketing can get on with it.

Social media support is charged at £45 an hour + VAT, with a 30 minute minimum then 15-minute blocks. Access clean-ups and two-factor setup often take under an hour. Hacked account recovery depends on Meta's process and can take longer. ## FAQs

### My business Facebook page has been hacked. What do I do?

Go to facebook.com/hacked from a device you have used before and follow Meta's recovery steps. Check your email for a Meta message about changed details, which may let you reverse it. Remove your card from Ads Manager if possible. dijitul can guide the recovery and secure the page afterwards.

### The only admin on our page has left. Can you get us access?

If the page is in a Meta business portfolio you control, an admin there can reassign it. If it sits on the ex-employee's personal profile, the quickest route is asking them to add you. Otherwise Meta's page access request process applies. dijitul helps with each route and then fixes ownership properly.

### Is the 'Meta Support' message about my page being deleted real?

Almost certainly not. Messages via Messenger or email threatening deletion for copyright or policy breaches, with a link to appeal, are a common phishing scam. Check your page's Support Inbox or Account Quality directly in Meta Business Suite instead of clicking links. dijitul can check for you.

### Do you manage social media posting?

No. dijitul is not a social media marketing agency. We fix access, security, hacked accounts and technical connections such as the Meta Pixel, shop catalogues and link previews. That frees whoever handles your marketing, in-house or an agency, to focus on content.

### How much does social media support cost?

dijitul charges £45 an hour + VAT, with a 30 minute minimum then 15-minute blocks. Most access and two-factor setups take under an hour. Hacked account recovery can take longer because it depends on Meta's verification process, which we guide you through.
