What 'managed' actually means here
Managed IT services can mean anything from a fully outsourced IT department to a support phone number. At dijitul it means three practical things: we know how your setup works, your staff can contact us directly, and there is time each month to fix things before they break rather than only after.
The Complete plan includes 3 hours of work a month. Many months that time goes on everyday requests such as new users, password resets, mailbox permissions and software installs. In quieter months we use it for housekeeping: removing unused licences, checking MFA coverage, reviewing who has admin rights and tidying old shared mailboxes. For the full list of what we support, see IT support.

Typical monthly tasks we handle
- Starters and leavers: creating accounts, assigning the right Microsoft 365 licence, adding to Teams and SharePoint groups, then for leavers blocking sign-in, converting the mailbox to shared and transferring OneDrive files. See new starter IT setup.
- Security checks: confirming MFA is registered for every user, reviewing risky sign-ins and checking Secure Score recommendations. See password and MFA setup.
- Device health: Windows and macOS updates, disk space, BitLocker or FileVault status. On Business Premium we can manage this through Intune.
- Email health: SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, mail flow rules and suspicious forwarding rules.
- Supplier liaison: talking to your broadband, phone or software suppliers on your behalf.
Managed plan or pay as you go: a worked example
Here is a simple way to decide. Pay-as-you-go support is £45 an hour + VAT, so three hours of ad-hoc work in a month would cost three times that. The Complete plan includes those 3 hours, plus priority support, a helpdesk for your staff and website care, for £99 a month + VAT.
So if your team regularly needs a couple of hours of IT help a month or more, the plan is cheaper. If you need an hour every few months, it is not, and pay as you go makes more sense. The plan also changes how the work happens: because the hours are already paid for, small jobs get raised and fixed instead of being put up with. That is often where the real value is, because a five-minute annoyance repeated across a team every day adds up quickly.
We are happy to look at your last few months of IT problems and tell you honestly which option fits.
Who the Complete plan suits
It fits small teams that rely on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, have a handful of laptops and a printer, and want one supplier who knows the whole picture, including the website. If you are a one-person business that needs help twice a year, pay-as-you-go remote IT support at £45 an hour + VAT is cheaper, and we will tell you so.
If you need a lot more than 3 hours a month regularly, or have servers and complex networks, we will talk it through and quote. See server support and IT consultancy.
Starting a managed plan
The first month is mostly discovery. We collect admin access to your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace tenant, domain registrar and router, list your users and devices, and note anything risky: shared logins, global admins without MFA, old staff accounts or an SPF record that fails. We then fix the urgent items and agree a list for the following months. Get in touch to start, or read small business IT support first.
What it costs
Support plans from £25 a month + VAT, or £45 an hour + VAT for one-off fixes. Pick a plan if you want it looked after every month, or pay by the hour for a one-off job.

Frequently asked questions
How much are managed IT services?
dijitul's Complete plan costs £99 a month + VAT. It includes 3 hours of IT work, priority support, an IT and Microsoft 365 helpdesk for your staff, and website care. Extra hours are £45 an hour + VAT, and projects are quoted.
Is the Complete plan priced per user?
No. dijitul's Complete plan is a flat £99 a month + VAT. What limits it is time: 3 hours of work a month are included, and anything over is billed at £45 an hour + VAT.
What happens to unused hours?
Included hours are for that month. dijitul uses quiet months for proactive housekeeping such as licence reviews, MFA checks and tidying old accounts, so the time still benefits you. Hours do not roll over, but we tell you what the time was spent on each month.
Is there a minimum contract?
No. The Complete plan is monthly. dijitul would rather keep clients because the service is useful than because of a contract. You can stop or change the plan with notice, and switch to pay-as-you-go support at £45 an hour + VAT.
Do managed services include on-site visits?
Most work is done remotely. If something genuinely needs a visit, such as cabling or replacing hardware, dijitul quotes it upfront before any work starts. Remote work is faster and avoids travel charges, which is why it is our default for almost everything.
Do you provide Microsoft 365 licences?
dijitul can set up and manage your licences in your own tenant so you stay in control. We recommend Business Basic, Standard or Premium for each user based on what they actually need.
